Accompanying guests will have the opportunity to experience the culture and history of London through a selection of tours.

  • All programmes will be conducted in English with several tours benefitting from digital tour guides in different languages.
  • The cost of all programmes is covered by the organizers.
  • As space is limited (maximum 25 people per programme), attendees are encouraged to register in advance.
  • The minimum number is 20 people. If that number is not reached or the tour is full, we will suggest to you an alternative tour.
  • Comfortable shoes are recommended for all tours.

Description of Tour

The original Tudor palace was begun by Cardinal Wolsey in the early 16th century, but it soon attracted the attention of King Henry VIII, who brought all his six wives here. Surrounded by gorgeous gardens and famous features such as the maze and the Great Vine, the palace has been the setting for many nationally important events.

Hampton Court Palace’s world-famous gardens include 60 acres of spectacular formal gardens and 750 acres (304 hectares) of parkland, all set within a loop of the River Thames. The gardens are home to the world’s oldest puzzle maze, a record-breaking grape vine, 3 National Plant Collections, over 1 million flowering bulbs in the Wilderness and a huge variety of wildlife.

Description of Tour

Guests can experience a Studio Tour offering a unique opportunity to explore two soundstages where the Harry Potter films were made, and a backlot filled with original sets, animatronic creatures and breath-taking special effects, as well as props and costumes that were created especially for the films.

The Prop Department, led by Head Prop Maker Pierre Bohanna, created thousands of hand-crafted items including an array of wands personalised to each character, jars of potions ingredients and mountains of golden Galleons.

Windsor town and Castle

Description of Tour

Guests will be able to visit Windsor Castle, the oldest and largest inhabited castle in the world. It has been the family home of British kings and queens for almost 1,000 years. It is an official residence of Her Majesty The Queen, whose standard flies from the Round Tower when she is in residence. This was also the location of the 2018 Royal Wedding of Prince Harry to Ms Meghan Markle, the now Duchess of Sussex.

With the expert knowledge of the Blue Badge Guide, guests will explore the pretty streets of Windsor town, see the crooked house and the beautiful River Thames with Windsor on one side and Eton on the other.

Description of Tour

The Tower of London is one of the world’s most preserved buildings, founded by William the Conqueror in 1066, it is one of the world’s most famous fortresses.

Guests will have the opportunity to explore the spectacular building on a tour and discover the history as a royal palace, prison and jewel house. The Tower of London is renowned for housing a collection of crown jewels for the Queen, which guests will have the opportunity to view.

A Blue Badge Guide will provide guests with a guided tour with tales of intrigue, imprisonment, execution, torture and much more.

Sunday afternoon
Kensington Palace

Description of Tour

Surrounded by parkland, Kensington Palace offers a welcome retreat from the nearby hustle and bustle of London. Its understated elegance makes the palace an ideal companion to the Royal Parks’ tranquil gardens and ponds and is still home to the Prince and Princess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.

Take a tour of the beautiful Sunken Garden planted in 1908, transforming part of the gardens previously occupied by potting sheds into a tranquil ornamental garden of classical proportions. It was modelled on a similar garden at Hampton Court Palace and celebrates a style of gardening seen in the 18th century. The garden is terraced with paving and ornamental flower beds, surrounding an ornamental pond with fountains formed from reused 18th century water cisterns retrieved from the palace.

St Paul's Cathedral

Description of Tour

St Paul's, with its world-famous dome, is an iconic feature of the London skyline and has played host to many events over the years including Royal weddings and funerals.

For your group, we would arrange a completely private Triforium Tour which consists of a guided visit into the secret stairwell of the famous geometric staircase, exploration of some of the surviving artefacts of the medieval cathedral housed in the Triforium corridors, a jaw dropping view from the west end looking down the Nave towards the Quire and High Altar. The visit culminates in the Trophy Room. These areas are not open to the general public.

Guided tours of St Paul’s Cathedral are led by highly trained volunteers who give their time to assist the daily running of the cathedral.

Westminster Abbey

Westminster Abbey occupies a unique place in the nation’s heart. It has hosted special occasions such as Coronations, Royal Weddings and Memorial Services for hundreds of years.

One of the most moving places in the whole Abbey is the Grave to the Unknown Warrior, which contains the body of a soldier who lost his life during World War 1 and who was laid to rest in 1920. This space remains a place of reverence and introspection for the country to recognise those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Built in 1869 to carry tea back from China, Cutty Sark visited nearly every major port in the world and gained fame for its record-breaking passages. Delve into the adventures of this iconic ship and meet the colourful cast of characters on board the ship who tell their story of what life was like on board.
